About College

Govt. Degree College, Rakkar, Tehsil Rakkar, Distt. Kangra was established in May 28, 2016.
Affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University Shimla, the college is imparting education mainly to rural youths in various disciplines i.e. humanities and commerce at undergraduate level. The admission in all disciplines in the first year of bachelor degree courses is offered as per HPU norms.

There are seven departments in the college. They are the Department of English, Department of Hindi, Department of History , Department of Economics, Department of Political Science, Department of Music (Instrumental), & Department of Commerce - catering to Arts and Commerce faculties in the college.
